Job Purpose

To advertise and promote our product portfolio offerings with the focus to increase sales and revenue for the company. Expectation to forecast sales and agency growth through strategic planning with our carrier partners. You will collaborate with our marketing team to develop innovative programs that drive demand. An attention to detail and eye for quality are critical to your success. You back up strategic insights with market evidence and then us that knowledge to drive the development of positioning and messaging that resonates with our independent agent distribution channel.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Increase independent agent distribution channel throughout focused market.
  • Market Intelligence – Analyze target markets and methods used to promote products and empower our sales channels to be successful.
  • Understand the competitive landscape – be an expert on our competition and how they are positioned.
  • Collaborate with marketing team to develop messaging that resonate with our agent partners.
  • Develop a marketing plan for the products you support in conjunction with our marketing team, including key actives and budgets to support the retention of our existing agents and acquisition of new agents.
  • Act as the primary thought leader for the market you support, including speaking engagements and written works.
  • Understand and support our sales channels, develop internal tools and external collateral.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in business or marketing
  • 2+ years of product marketing experience with at least 2 years of experience in a market-facing role (e.g., delivering presentation, conducting competitor analysis and market research)
  • Proficient in productivity applications such as Microsoft Office
  • Comfortable using collaboration and CRM tools such as Slack and Salesforce
  • Expectational ROI-tracking skills, able to prove what is – or isn’t - working
  • Must be a strong public speaker, comfortable in front of large groups, solid writer
  • Excellent people and management skills to interact with colleagues, cross- functional teams and third parties. Team player!
